M/S of the three candidates on the steps of a civic building, left-to-right; Maj. John Thompson [Lib] Joseph King [Lab] Fredric Wise [Con].

High angled L/S of a crowd assembling outside a civic building, the electoral candidates wave from the steps. A man - probably the returning officer - stands on a table outside the building, he appears to be reading the election results. C/U of Wise and his wife - she is holding a bunch of flowers. They are surrounded by well-wishers congratulating on them on their election success - many of them shake Mrs. Wise's hands. More high angled L/S of the cheering crowd outside the civic building, Wise and his wife are standing on the table waving, he then appears to give a speech.
