More high mountains, dense fur trees, and broad vistas with the dirt road winding to the horizon.

Crashed cars lay by the side of a raised section of the highway, where they rolled down the side of the soft shoulder. At Nisultin the cars cross the Testlin Lake on a 2,300 foot wooden bridge to Testlin Village. Travelling along a side road skirting Lake Como, the cars visit the village of Atlin. Dating from the gold rush days of 1900, it is beside Atlin Lake, and has magnificent views of the Lake and Mt. Atlin with old Steam boats in the foreground.

After stopping at an old hunting lodge the cars pass the Yukon River Dam, made of wood in 1923. On passed the Whitehorse rapids running through Miles Canyon, to the Town of Whitehorse. The town was made capital of the Yukon in 1951. A train passes on the narrow gage railway, and we see a large paddle steamer of the earlier sternwheeler type. At Whitehorse is the original cabin of Sam McGee. The cars drive down the main street.

At Champagne there is an old Indian settlement, and nearby their burial ground with little houses only 3 ft. high built on their graves. The little windows even have curtains. On passed barren country with distant high mountains and huge glaciers and over Boutillier Summit the cars stop at a petrol station. A bear rummages in a tin can. A passing lorry creates a dust storm. A bridge crosses Slims River and a line of dust is seen along the dry banks. On over Soldiers Summit and the edge of Lake Kluane, and across a raised dirt road over the Donjet River and shallow waterways.

After waterway vista's the cars pass a sign "Entering Alaska". A large beaver dam, with a beaver collecting sticks. Across the Tanana River Bridge, cantilever truss type, to the American customs at Tok Junction. Large lorries raise up the dust.
