    Hurstmonceaux, Sussex.

    Various GV's. observatory showing equatorial group (domes housing various types of telescopes). Shots of Hurstmonceaux Castle (originally built in 1440, present building restored early 1900s and many of original bricks used, it is the largest brick building in the country. Now houses a number of administrative departments of the observatory, the Library administrative offices).

    Shot of Duke in Chronometer Department, responsible for maintenance of navigational timepieces used by Royal Navy. Duke watches daily check by lady assistant and watches tested for waterproofing. Duke sees various types of watches serviced in chronometer workshop and his own watch is tested by Mr. D.W. Evans.
