    "Deep in the woodlands, where Eve's first encounter was with a twelve-day-old wood pigeon..."

    High angle shot of a nest with a baby bird sitting on it. A hand comes into shot and lifts the bird out of the nest. C/U of the bird in the hand. "Quite a different fellow after eight days!" Baby pigeon (much grown) sits on a branch, larger bird (one of the parents) comes and lands on the nest. The younger bird appears to be trying to fly.

    "In the next glade we came across a squirrel's nest." M/S of two squirrels cavorting around a nest. "Six weeks old - but full of the pep and the joy of life - " Three squirrels play around the nest. C/U of squirrel peeking out of the nest.
