  • "New type of buses side by side" - actually this is a case of an old bus beside a new one. The bus on the left is a 1930 AEC Regent I, Fleet Number ST185.

    The bus on the right has an unusual history. It started out as an AEC Regent RT-type, but after being damaged during WWII it was converted in to an experimental pay-as-you-enter bus. The experiment was unsuccessful, so it was then rebuilt to become the luxury double-deck Green Line coach seen here.
