Anthony Eden makes speech at Daily Mail Youth Forum, Royal Albert Hall in London.

French girl suggests common weights and measures and all to drive on the same side of the road. Man sitting beside her could be BBC announcer Lionel Gamlin. General view of audience applauding.

Conservative MP Anthony Eden makes speech thanking all those who have come from the British Commonwealth overseas for making him very welcome when he visited some of them earlier this year. He talks of his life in International Affairs and visiting may lands privately and officially. He says he thinks he should qualify for a pretty high place in any lists of 'hobos'. He talks of how it should be quite easy for nations to understand each other. He urges the young people to "keep pegging away" at international understanding. Looks like Prince Philip (Duke of Edinburgh) sitting beside Eden and listening to speech.

BBC radio and television announcer Leslie Mitchell sits at a long table and introduces the teenagers sitting either side of him, from various parts of the world - Australia, Canada, and so on. The 'team' discuss the topic of 'the contribution that Europe can make to the world we want', then talk of production of food.
