Titles read: "THE NORTH - CYCLE TOUR OF BRITAIN".

    Buxton, Derbyshire.

Various shots of cyclists taking part in the Tour of Britain Cycle Race 8th stage - between Aberystwyth and Buxton. Among the participants seen are R Addy of the Southern Region team and Peter Ward of the Northern Region.

Keith Butler of the Southern team comes over the line. Mayor of Buxton (?) applauds. Cyclists mill around the milk stall (event is sponsored by the Milk Marketing Board). Butler drinks milk.

Elevated shot as the group start off on the 9th stage of the race, from Buxton to Skegness. Several shots of the cyclists riding through the town and off along main roads. We see A Perkins of the English team as he puts on a bit of a spurt.

    Notes and correspondence on file.
