Cuts (rushes, out takes) for stories in Colour Pictorial - CP 367. The original stories are on Pathe Master tape *PM0175*.
01:07:43 to 01:14:55 cuts for story CLIFF DROPPING (aka CLIFF HANGING) in CP 367. Various shots of the abseilers tying ropes to themselves, very similar or identical to those in the cut story. Extra M/Ss of fishing boats flying Icelandic flags sailing out of the harbour and past cliffs, this footage was not used in the final version. Also unused in the cut story are some lovely shots of seagulls flying and landing on the cliffs, plus nice some shots of men fishing from the side of a boat.
01:14:55 to 01:18:18 cuts for story GREAT DANE PUPS in CP 367. Nothing much of enormous interest - just lots of shots of very cute Great Dane pups messing about (similar to cut version).
01:18:18 to 01:20:24 cuts for story TREE HOUSE (aka YEW TREE HOUSE) in CP 367. Various shots of the yew tree house - different angles to the finished version. Some L/Ss of the village of Glasshouse and some C/Us of road signs. Once again, most of the cuts are similar to the cut story.
01:20:24 TO 01:22:36 cuts for story SHELL GARDEN in CP 367. Although most of the cuts are the same as the final version, there are a few unused shots. For example, M/S of Sidney Dowdeswell applying cement to his bird bath and closer shots of the woman looking around the garden. There is also a nice shot of a quaint old cottage.
