Out takes (rushes, cuts) for LIVERPOOL CIVIC WEEK in G 1339. The original story is also on Pathe Master tape *PM0646*.

M/S of lower floor of very new looking detached house - looks like 'show home'. A crowd in the background look over garden fence at it. M/S of unidentifiable white square. L/S of house - looks like a Bovis home! Crowd mill into shot to have a closer look at house. Various shots of crowd, a lot of the younger ones seem more interested in the camera. C/U of sign - says something about 'City of Liverpool' and 'Builders of House' being 'Richard Costain and Sons'. Also names some of material suppliers; 'Ravenhead Brick Co.', 'Merchant Trading Co.', 'Rowe Brothers and Co.', 'Courtrai Du Nord Tile'. Rest of sign is indecipherable.

More shots of the house and sign. M/S of mayoress unlocking front door of house, she then makes a speech. Various shots procession of trucks, cars and charabancs passing large crowds. More shots mayoress and dignitaries entering house. L/S of crowds milling about main street. There is a carnival atmosphere - lots of food and other stalls.

Rest of shots are same or similar to those in edited version of story - see separate records for details.
