    M/S of Arthur Creech Jones speaking on the British attitude to Palestine. He says they are in agreement with the mandate for Palestine being terminated at the earliest possible date, and independents granted in Palestine at earliest practical date.

    He talks of future government of Palestine and of Britain endorsing the view that the mandate be terminated so that the goal of independence may be brought within realisation. He speaks of agreement being made between the Arabs and the Jews and Britain stepping in if agreement cannot be reached. He says Britain is not prepared to impose a policy in Palestine by force of arms.
