    Cpl Hutt - Coventry's VC.

Location of events unknown - probably Coventry, West Midlands.

Pan across a group of officials and dignitaries at a fund-raising event (? war bond drive?). Corporal Hutt is among them - he hands a piece of paper to a man in a powdered wig.

Military band and civilians wearing rosettes in procession, walking along street while people watch. Mayor is among them. M/S of the Mayor writing something on a piece of paper for an old man with a moustache.

Note: seems to relate to 'Coventry Tank Week' - see ON 081 A.

The man seen here is Corporal Arthur Hutt.

Details of the actions for which he was awarded the Victoria Cross can be found here.....

"dignitaries at a fund-raising event (? war bond drive?" - yes, War Bonds are being sold from the tank, a frequent occurrence during WWI.

Given that the battle in which Hutt won his Victoria Cross took place in 1917, the clip's date range can safely be reduced to 1917-18.
