  • Description

    Titles read: "CINEVIEWS IN BRIEF".

    Various locations of events.

Several shots of former Thames Punting Champion Harry Higginson punting over an ice rink at Streatham, London. He pushes the boat along over the ice as commentator says "he claims to get a bigger kick out of pushing the boat out like this than in any other way".

In Germany we see some newly arrived elephants at a zoo swimming in the new pool there. A crowd of people watch the elephants (adults and babies) get into the water and splash about.

In Louisiana, United States of America, we see a driver-less tractor invented by a farmer. The tractor is guided along by a length of cable from a central derrick. Nice shot of the farmer sitting in a rocking chair in the cotton field, reading a newspaper as he watches the tractor chug by doing all the work. Aerial shot shows the tracks made by the tractor in the field.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
