Titles read: "Pathetone - Presents CINETOPICALITIES IN BRIEF".

    Various locations of events.

In Rome, Italy, we see young boys between the ages of 10 and 14 learning about life on a ship, by taking part in a course on a large sailing ship embedded in concrete. They climb up the rigging and stand on the masts.

At the Imperial Mint in Oskara, Japan, we see a new currency made of bronze aluminium being manufactured. Several shots of the processes involved.

At the foot of Snowdon in North Wales, we see various shots of the picturesque village of Beddgelert. Commentator talks of the legend of the hound: Llewellyn, King of Wales in the 13th century, returned home to find his child missing and his dog stained with blood. He shot the dog, then discovered the child next to a dead wolf - the dog had killed the wolf in defence of the child. A woman and two boys look at a lengthy inscription on the dog's gravestone in a field.

On Llandwin Island, off the coast of Anglesey, we see several shots of 61-year-old Elizabeth Jones. The island has been taken over as a sanctuary by the Society for the Protection of Wild Birds and Elizabeth looks after them. She wears a hair net and overalls and carries a telescope, looking rather eccentric. Various shots of the whitestone lighthouse on the island and Elizabeth with her donkey, the only means of transport on the island.

At Franconia Hotch, New Hampshire, we see a new cable car that stretches across a canyon from the valley to the mountaintop. Brief shots of the view from the top of the mountain.
