    Titles read: "CINETOPICALITIES IN BRIEF".

    Various locations of events.

In Boston, United States of America, we see various shots of a fireman in a diving suit getting into an indoor swimming pool to rescue a man lying on the bottom. On the soundtrack we hear thuds - it's the sound of the air pump, not the fireman's heart. He brings the man to the surface.

In Grecca (sp? Greppa? Greta?), Australia, we see several shots of a smouldering fire that has been burning for over a year. The source of the fire is thought to be a disused coal mine beneath the town. Nearby we see smouldering ashes on a hill known as 'Burning Mountain' - this fire is also coming from a coal field beneath the earth. A man turns over ashes with a stick. Huge clouds of smoke billow into the air.

In Oregon, United States of America, we see brief shots of a group of unemployed men fishing for salmon on the Columbia River. They have been given the freedom of the river for one day, courtesy of the city fathers.

On an American golf course we see lady golfers wearing golfing clothes from an earlier age (Edwardian and early 1920s?) being contrasted with the shorts and tops of the present. One woman explains why she prefers golfing in shorts rather than a skirt. Commentator talks all over a woman from the skirt preferring side, who says something about nudist colonies.

Several shots of children at an American Midwest hospital watching an outdoor display by some visiting cowboys. The men let the children ride on their backs, do comedy acts with a mule, sing cowboy songs and say "Yeehoo!" a lot. Circus clowns and elephants add to the entertainment. Children lie outside on stretchers, watching the fun.
