In Italy we see several shots of young men competing in hurdle races, swinging on the parallel bars, jumping into a swimming pool and swimming widths. Commentator says they are in training for a seasonal gymnastic display (looks more like athletics).
Also in Italy, we see several shots of young girls at a school or college. They sit around a table and write in exercise books under the instruction of a teacher. Then we see good shots of girls in an home economics class being taught how to descale and cook fish, stuff and cook chickens, pipe icing or creamed potatoes onto a dish and make pancakes. The girls serve their home-made food to other young women in the school restaurant. Various shots of girls knitting and sewing in another class.
