Lots of good shots of scouts at a jamboree doing all those kinds of things that scouts like to do. They are scouts of the 48th Camberwell Group.

The Chief Scout Sir Charles MacLean is coming to inspect the scouts. The boys run along beside the jeep which carries Sir Charles to the camp. Various shot of the Chief Scout chatting to boys and awarding them certificates. Various shots of the scouts, Charles MacLean and families watching the ceremony.

Over shots of scouts demonstrating skills such as making fires and putting them out. First aid demonstration. Narrator praises the scout movement and all the benefits it has for young boys.

Footage of a "trek cart race" - a peace time drill. Boys dismantle and reconstruct a trek cart to transport it over a fence.
