    Reel 1.

A shot of earth approaching as a "newsreel reporter" says "we interrupt our regular programmes to bring you a news flash". He goes on to say that a man is about to be launched into space in an attempt to reach the moon. To the accompaniment of "space-age" music and a space launch style countdown we see shots of a spaceship being prepared for launch. A man is launched from a circus cannon. Shot from the air of the ground below. A monkey wearing glasses and sitting in front of a microphone appears to be the narrator of the film. Shot of a monkey behind the window of a control booth and the logo "Channel 99".

Monkeys operate television equipment. Space rocket is launched. Man roller skating along a road with large wings attached to his arms. Voice over " Yes, this is the story of Aviation". The man - "Arnold V. Ation" - attempts flight. Makes several attempts at flight in ridiculous machines. Silly sound effects accompany shots of bizarre flying machines. Hospital. Flying bedstead. Satellite dish. Scientists listen to broadcast equipment, waiting to hear broadcast from first man on the moon. Women dance together to Charleston music. Air balloons. A man tries to fly attached to a balloon. Airship with a basket underneath. Men help to land it. Man in a bath suspended by a balloon - shot of him washing himself in the bath. Airships, bottle smashed over the front. Plane crashes. Man drinks from a flask. Aircraft smashes. Cockpit of a plane.

    See reel 2.

Note: silly voice over throughout! (Commentary by Bob Danvers-Walker, funny voices by Graham Stark - SL.)
