Dockett Eddy Point, Weybridge, Surrey. C/U of a bright blue mermaid's tail. Pan up to show two life size mermaid statues - they are made of concrete and they are fabulous! L/S of the mermaids which are situated on the banks of the River Thames at Weybridge. The sculptor Bernard Jepson is at work on another statue and a real life model lies on the grass by the river's edge as he works on it. M/S of Mr Jepson painting the mouth of his new mermaid - fab! C/U of his model who wears a strange orange swimsuit. C/U of Mr Jepson and his mermaid. He used to be a magazine illustrator but has now turned his hand to sculpture.

L/S of the patio of Mr Jepson's home. C/Us of some of his other figures including two Spanish women with gorgeous frilled skirts and off the shoulder blouses. L/S of Mr Jepson's "Japanese Garden" which is popular with younger neighbours. M/S of a young girl and boy who walk onto a little curved bridge to look down upon a Japanese woman statue. She appears to be looking into the river. M/S of the children walking towards another Japanese woman statue. She holds a large fan. Narrator states that it usually takes about three weeks to complete a figure - four weeks if the lady sports a tail!" C/U of a statue of a bare breasted woman submerged in a pond - she appears to be standing in the pond with the water up to her breasts. Two ducks admire the view. L/S of a man mowing Mr Jepson's lawn. He stops to wipe the sweat from his neck and takes the chance to admire some of his handiwork. A naked woman reclining on a sofa peeking out from behind the roses. C/U of the statue's upper torso. Very sexy. L/S of Bernard watering his plants with a watering can. Beside him is a great statue of a woman holding a water urn on her shoulder - she is part "Rebecca at the well". C/Us of this statue. L/S of the three mermaids seen at the beginning of the film as a yacht passes by.
