Film of a carnival ball at the Three Arts Club in London which is in the great ballroom of the Park Lane Hotel. L/S of the interior of the club - people move around the dance floor. Low angle M/S of the band. "Millions have heard this orchestra on the Radio - Albert Sandler's -" C/U of Albert playing the violin. Couples dance past the camera. Various angles of the dancers - some are in fancy dress, others hold balloons.
"Another Radio favourite - Marius B. Winter." M/S of Marius conducting the band. "Striking costumes attract our camera -" C/Us of various couples in outrageous outfits. Large head dresses, Mexican sombreros, ostrich feather trimmed outfits, etc. Monty Banks, Sydney Chaplin and Billy Bennett are featured. (Also Morris Harvey?) They are having fun and games with a soda syphon. Sidney pulls off Billy's fake moustache then puts it back on again. Evelyn Laye, Ruby Miller and Ellaline Macey look after a lucky dip. Monty Banks has a go - his prize is something which snaps in two - difficult to see what... Everyone laughs. One of the girls has a go (Greta Fayne?) - she gets a pipe. She gives it to Monty - he pops it into his mouth and grabs the girl, dancing off with her.
"King Carnival's Parade" takes place. Various fancy dress costumes are paraded past the camera. Lots of historical costumes, short frocks with large pom poms, a clergyman etc. Noranna Rose - the Prima Ballerina - performs a balletic dance. It isn't very elegant so may be a comedic routine. Vanda and Vladimir perform a dizzy, dashing, acrobatic dance involving jumps, throws, lifts and much rough and tumble. He spins around with Vanda suspended around his neck by her ankles at one point then drops her on the floor (intentionally!)
