Titles read: "HARRINGAY - CAR BELT SAVES LIFE".

    London.

Various shots of a car swerving around all over the place as it drives past crowds of people and cameramen at Harringay Stadium. We are told this is a warm-up for a demonstration.

French stunt driver Gillese Delamare gets into a car, puts on a felt hat and fastens the safety belt. He drives along at speed and crashes straight into an old car. Gil gets out of the car unhurt, thanks to the safety belt. Donald Campbell and wife Tonia look on.

Gil does the same stunt, crashing into another car. At the point of contact, the driver is seen to be wearing a helmet, but gets out of the car without it. The final stunt shows Gil driving up a ramp and off the end so the car turns over several times (slow-motion). He gets out, seemingly unhurt, with a crash helmet on this time. People inspect the inside of the car. C/U of Gil taking off his goggles and smiling.

    Notes and leaflets on file.

"Gillese Delamare" in text and tags should be changed to simply Gil Delamare, (full name Gilbert-Yves Delamare de la Villenaise de Chenevarin).
