    Various shots of French invasion town of Isigny having just been taken by US troops. The town is still burning fiercely. GIs talk to gendarmes and French civilians, civilians are seen retrieving their belongings from buildings reduced to rubble. M/S US soldiers helps old lady through rubble and past burning building. Captured Germans under guard of GIs. More shots GIs talking to civilians. US army truck driving past burning tank on road.

    "Isigny" referred to in text and tags is Isigny-sur-mer, in North-West France.

    All of this footage was shot on 9 June 1944, by an American cameraman named as "Schultz".
