Starter in middle of track drops the flag and runs clear as the cars accelerate towards camera. GV. Pan as they go around track. One bounces over oil drum and another skids off the track and comes back on again. CU. Cars racing. GV. One car hits oil drum and forces two more off the track, & LV. LV. Cars at speed, & CU. Top shot of cars speeding. LV. Car No 233 hits a stationary car and turns over. It eventually lands up on its four wheels again. LV. Another car skids off track in order to avoid crash. LV. Pan as another car comes off track to get around crashed car. SV. Pan as it comes back onto the track, goes into a skid and goes off the track into the middle. LV. As car No 304 hits an oil drum. The car leaps into the air but driver manages to keep it on the track and carries on racing. SV. Oil drum laying on track. Cars race past and the oil drum disappears. LV. Pan as another oil drum is thrown across the track almost into spectator area. GV. Cars avoiding a drum which is spinning on the track. SV. As one of the cars hits the drum. CU. Crowd. LV. Pan, one of the cars goes completely off the track and disappears behind the building. CU. Pan, Ellis Ford racing. LV. Pan, two cars racing. LV. Two cars skid off the track but manage to come back on. LV. Another car nearly takes off over a drum. GV. As another car bounces over two drums. LV. Another car skids across track. GV. As he comes to a halt in the centre of the track. LV. Another car skids off. GV. As two more cars skid off track. LV. Pan as car No 138 with Allen Briggs on, is flagged home the winner. SV. Allen Briggs receives trophy, & CU. LV. Men sweeping track clear of debris. LV. Car is towed away.
