We sighted Ireland the following day and I'd gone to a lot of trouble to cook up a beautiful lunch and handed it out to my brother who was at the helm and he sat up on the deck and suddenly we had a jibe when he wasn't looking, (Ah, getaway - from brother), tried to catch the main sheet as it swung over and went overboard with that and the lunch and a fork. We only had two forks aboard anyway and that left us with one fork.' 'And the food with it?' 'And the food went overboard too.'
Question asked to Colin: SV Colin Smith. 'Well, how do you feel in yourselves both of you now?' Colin: 'Very pleased at having done it myself.' 'Are you going back across the Atlantic in the same craft?' CU Stan: 'No, we've had enough of it for one season.'
