Bro-Nylon and Bri-Lon presented at The Royal Albert Hall by British Nylon Spinners. Ten minutes of pure pleasure!
This is an extended version of the Colour Pictorial item with the film id - 133.08. This version is much better image quality - pristine!
Kensington, London. Exteriors of the Royal Albert Hall. A musician walks up the steps carrying a case with a trombone inside. But he isn't a musician. It is for a display at the British Nylon Fair.
Various shots of the display cabinets with revolving models. Two seriously glamorous women come and look at the displays. There are some highly bizarre outfits and ways of displaying them. Students of the Royal College of Art have designed some of the clothes.
There follows some seriously funky 1960s outfits, for men and women. The colours are amazing. There is an "Arabian Nights" scene to display new rugs including one with a leopard skin pattern. A fashion parade follows. Many, many gorgeous frocks, pants suits, hats, gloves, coats, jackets, trousers, nightwear, lounging pyjamas, evening gowns, swimsuits etc. are paraded for the camera.
A real treat for 1960s fashion fans.
