Marching band of British guards in busby hats make their way along a main boulevard - Champs Elysees? They are followed by First World War veterans (?) in civvies and medals. The men carry British Legion flags. The parade reaches the Arc de Triomphe.
High angle shot of crowds of men entering a building - could be Place de L'Opera. Inside we see men being served champagne at some kind of banquet or party.

BRITISH LEGION 1939. The band leading the parade is the Coldstream Guards' band. They had not long returned from playing at the British Pavilion at the New York World's Fair in The United States of America. This particular duty would be the last which a Guards' band sported the pre-war gold-fronted musician's tunics, which can be seen in detail on the 'stills' facility.
