    M/Ss of Captain Campbell and others trying to put out a fire on the car in the pit; as the fire gets worse, the car is wheeled off.

    The race seen here is being run on the Ards circuit.

    "Campbell and others trying to put out a fire on the car" - it's a Bugatti Type 43.

    "L/S of the winning car" - it's a Lea-Francis S-type Hyper.

    "Captain Campbell" referred to Is Malcolm Campbell.

    The race took place on 18 August 1928.

    The attached newspaper article gives a flavour of some of the driver entrants and their cars.....
