    Introductory intertitle reads: "We don't mean "shop" signs - but town and village road indications. Something typical of the town we are approaching - like this." M/S of a woman drawing a building on a blank piece of paper. She then begins to paint the sign. "These distinctive signs would add just that needed brightness to our roads." The painting takes shape. It is a sign for Truro in Cornwall. The painter stands back to admire her work. Low angle shot of the finished sign hanging in place. High angle shot of the town. Camera pans across to show the cathedral featured in the sign.
