    The location here is Mangere airfield, South Auckland, New Zealand.

    The clip shows Jean Batten after completing the first ever direct flight from England to New Zealand.

    The aircraft she's seen landing in is a Percival Gull, Reg. No. G-ADPR.

    The man in the bowler hat at 00:11 is Mayor Ernest Davis.

    The location is Mascot aerodrome, Sydney in 1934. Note the Australian flag.
    The occasion is Jean Batten\'s arrival in Sydney after breaking Amy Johnson\'s record for the women\'s solo record England-Australia.
    The aircraft is a Gipsy Moth (biplane) reg. G-AARB

    The later flight in 1936 in which she continued onto NZ to make the first ever England-NZ direct flight was in the Percival Gull, a monoplane.
