    C/U of a golf ball on a tee as a golf club comes into shot; C/U of Jack McConnell preparing to hit the ball at a golf club in Bournemouth, Dorset; M/S as he drives the ball while his wife, Margaret, watches. C/U as JM replaces his club and picks up a smaller set; M/S as we see him handing a small wooden club to his son, two and a half-year-old Andrew. Commentator says "...in his age-group, he's unrivalled". Andrew drives the ball.

    His father helps him put the club away and MM appears with the pushchair that Andrew climbs into and they all set off, JM pushing the golf trolley. JM hands the smaller set of clubs to Andrew to carry on his lap. When they reach the ball, Andrew jumps out of the pushchair; his father selects an iron for him and he takes his position before the ball. His parents watch him, look proudly at each other and nod. Andrew hits the ball.

    M/S as the three approach a bunker; commentator says "...as the young champion hasn't yet mastered the blaster, Mummy lends a hand here and proceeds to get him out of trouble", as we see MM hit the ball out. M/S of JM and Andrew watching it go. M/S of a man with a lawn mower who stops to watch.

    M/S of JM putting his ball as Andrew lifts the pole so the ball goes in the hole. Andrew putts his ball; C/U of the ball going into the hole. M/S of two elderly men watching and nodding approvingly. C/U of the golfing trolley as Andrew replaces his club, takes out another and wipes his brow.
