    MV. Irish team climbing into ring. Germans already there. SV. judges looking on. MV. Start of contest between Reddy and Korschewski (German in dark vest), cautious sparring. SV. German fights Reddy against ropes. SV. Both boxers shooting out lefts as they dance round ring. SV. Reddy attacks. Clinch, break, Reddy attacks, but German replies with fierce body blows. SV. Reddy pokes out left and German returns with body blows, uppercut by Reddy. MV. Boxers sparring in centre of ring and exchange blows. CU. Clock and gong for end of fight. LV. Boxers shake with each others seconds.

    SV. people looking on. LV. Maxie McCullagh v. W. Roth (Germany) Boxers sparring and exchange blows dancing around ring. SV. Roth lands right to tummy and forces Irishman into corner. SCU. Boxers exchange blows in corner. Referee parts them. SV. Ref parts boxers. German attacks with right, boxers dance round ring and Irishman pushes out left. German counters and both boxers spar for position. LV. In-fighting in centre of ring. CU. In-fighting they break, and German forces Irish boy into corner where he proceeds to pummel him. Irishman manages to get out of corner, but German doesn't let up. MV. Boxers spar for position Roth attacks, and pushes Irish boy round ring. They spar up and Roth attacks again, McCullagh slips, German is held back by Ref. until Mac gets up, they spar for position and German attacks. SCU. Clock and gong for end of fight.

    SV. People looking on. (2 shots). SV. Frank Aiken, Irish Minister for External affairs presents trophy to Belfast boy John McNally who was selected BOXER OF THE YEAR.
