    Views across the rooftops of Madrid. Top views of people in the streets. As the drone of aircraft and the wail of air raid sirens rise people begin to run for cover. Views of bombers flying overhead. More people run to find shelter from the bombing. Women and children then men run for cover. Various Red Cross vehicles drive about. More shots of the bombers overhead.

    Smoke rises from a bomb damaged building. Flames and smoke from bombed out building. More people in panic. Some people are carrying their belongings as we see more damage from the bombing.

    The corpses of two dead children lie in the street. A woman cries against a door. More scenes of devastation. Dead bodies of mother and child. Shots of a damaged shop and other buildings. Sequence of dead children. Firemen work to put out a large fire in a building.

    Room full of coffins. People wander around in the aftermath of the bombing raid. Devastation is all around. Various bombed out buildings and bomb craters.

    Anti-facist troops with rifles and bed rolls walk around. Women carry belongings. Refugees move out of the city carrying belongings. Some pull hand carts, some drive, others walk.
