    Bedford, Bedfordshire.

    Various shots of R.A.F. personnel and aircraft of the Bedford Blind Landing Experimental Unit. Views from inside the cockpit as aircraft takes off. Tests are being made on the fully automatic landing equipment that has been developed at the Royal Aircraft Establishment. A diagram is used to explain how the landing system works by radio beams. Various shots of the aircraft in flight and of workers in the control tower.

    C/U of the "brain box" the complex mechanical wizard that takes over the pilot's role and follows ground control instructions. C/Us of pilot, controls, radar screens. It is a case of "look no hands" having real safety value states the narrator. He claims that pilot error will be almost eliminated through this aviation break through. The plane lands through automatic pilot. Good shot of the approaching runway seen through the cockpit window.
