Titles read: "BISHOP BLESSES THE LAND" (Dublin issue).

    Suffolk.

At Kirken Lodge Farm we see various shots of the Bishop of St Edmonsbury and Ipswich holding a service, using a farm cart for a pulpit. A group of local people attend the ceremony.

The Bishop's procession moves out into the fields. The Bishop stops to speak to some land girls. Then he blesses the land so that "The earth may bring forth the increase the farmers have worked so hard for".

Commentator tells us that shortly after this item was filmed, rain fell. The crops had been in great need.

"Kirken Lodge Farm" - it sounds to me like the commentator actually says Kirkden Lodge Farm.

"Bishop of St Edmonsbury and Ipswich" should read Bishop of Edmundsbury and Ipswich. His name is Richard Brook.
