  • The men's match appears to be between Bill Tilden of the US and Christian Boussus of France.

One of the players in the women's match is Helen Jacobs of the US.

However, there appears to be something wrong with this film: Tilden was right-handed and Boussus was left-handed, but in the film, Tilden is left-handed and Boussus is right-handed. Similarly, Helen Jacobs was right-handed, but is playing left-handed in the film.

On June 4 1913, suffragette Emily Wilding Davison made her way in to the history books when she fell under the hooves of George V’s horse at the Epsom Derby. But was it intentional?
