L/S taken from a river of a cottage hidden behind some trees. L/S of actress Beryl Reid on the bank of the river, a man in a rowing boat hands her a shopping bag, she walks up the bank. L/S of the cottage which is round and has three thatched sections of roof each coming to a point, there is a car in the drive. Beryl walks up towards the house. M/S of one of the thatched gables, the camera pans round to show the other one. C/U of a sign saying 'Honeypot Cottage', the narrator explains it is aptly named because the cottage resembles a couple of thatched honeypots.
L/S as Beryl comes out of the cottage and down the steps, she sits down in front of a table and picks up a mirror, she looks at herself and covers her face. She puts it down and picks up an earring, M/S as she clips a pair of large red stiletto shoes on her ears. M/S of the table with various pairs of miniature model earrings including bottles and flatirons. M/S as she looks at herself in the mirror and laughs. She unclips the earrings and puts them down. M/S as she picks up a milk pail earring and then a plug. She then picks up a telephone earring, M/S as she hooks the earrings over her ears and admires herself in the mirror.
L/S as she gets up and walks over to the garden, there is a spade stuck in the flower bed, she looks despairing and starts digging with it. M/S of her face as she works. M/S of Beryl's husband Derek sat on a deck chair shooting a gun, she comes into the frame and sits down. She picks up another gun and Derek gets up to help her with it. M/S as he helps her load and adjust it, she aims and fires. M/S as she hits the square target which is suspended from a bit of string. M/S of Derek and Beryl talking, she laughs and points. M/S of the target.
