Red Army Day takes place annually on February 23rd, so we can assume filming date here is 23rd February 1950.
The memorial they're marching towards in Tiergarten is the "Sowjetisches Ehrenmal".
"Russian Memorial in Russian zone of Berlin" - this is situated in Treptower Park. The 70ft statue seen shows a soldier holding a child, while stamping on a Swastika.
