Belsen Concentration Camp, Bergen-Belsen, Germany.
M/S a Polish Roman Catholic priest and camp prisoner speaking into microphone in Polish, we see camp buildings behind him. Various shots the German S.S. camp guards unloading emaciated bodies into mass grave (natural sound - British soldiers shout at guards). M/S Reverend R.J. Stretch, a British Padre from Aberystwyth speaking into microphone (natural sound): he says he is speaking on St. George's Day and that the British soldiers have been at the camp eight days, during which 5000 bodies have been buried, another pit behind Stretch is waiting to be filled.
Various shots of German camp guards speaking to camera in German (natural sound): they give their names, home towns, ages and positions at camp, including number of years they worked there. They are: SS Oberlieut Franz Hosler, Wilhelm Dorr, Friedrich Herzof, Arnold Wilmschen (Arnold Wilmachen?), Herta Bothe (female guard). All look dishevelled, they appear to be talking under duress. M/S Herta being marched past crowd of civilians, British soldier walks behind her pointing gun at her back.
We see civilian dignitaries and German guards standing around half-filled pit, we hear British soldier speaking in German over loud speaker - some kind of mass funeral service? Various shots local burgomasters who were ordered to inspect the camp. Various C/Us of SS women and men and burgomasters.
