  • Description

    Brighton, East Sussex.

M/S of a postman walking up the path to a country cottage; a dog runs out from a shed and attacks the postman - rather half-heartedly!

Several scenes at the National Canine Defence League show dogs being trained. A well-trained black dog refuses to take a biscuit from a girl in a plastic mac; when his owner appears and takes the biscuit, the dog eats it. The same dog picks up an egg from a basket on the ground and hands it to his owner intact.

Other dogs are shown a rather tense fluffy ginger cat so they can get used to being around felines. An Alsatian dog attacks a 'burglar' as he sneaks from a house. The well-trained black dog crosses the road on his own, waiting for a van to pass before he does so.

Note: on file is a letter from the Canine Defence League confirming the filming of this story.

Verbal warfare at its best. Here are some of history's greatest retorts and snarling insults. These people certainly didn't mince their words!
