    Frederick Bason, world champion autograph collector looking at his autograph book sitting at table. Mr Bason goes to the stage door of West End theatre to collect autographs. Victoria Hopper arrives at stage door and signs autograph book. Thorley Waters (should be Walters) arrives at stage door and signs autograph book. Jeanne Stuart arrives at stage door and signs autograph book. Cicely Courtneidge arrives at stage door and signs autograph book. Mr Bason running after a man who enters a hotel room. He knocks and James Mason opens door. He asks Mr Bason to enter the room, signs his autograph book, the two shake hands and Mr Bason leaves.

    As Bason flicks through his autograph book we see autographed photos of Charlie Chaplin, Charles Boyer, an unidentified female, Paul Robeson, Josephine Baker, Fred Astaire and Tallulah Bankhead.

    "Thorley Waters" should read Thorley Walters (despite the commentator saying Waters).
