    Although billed as "Palestine" the touring team were actually Maccabi Tel Aviv FC who played 18 games on the tour, mainly against state sides, but included five "Tests".

    Im wondering why they called them Palestine in 1939 !
    Maybe because it was called palestine at that time before the british hand it over to the jews to create a country for them selves. I guess this is the only reasonable answer.
