MS. 1944 and one of the children being carried along a hospital corridor by woman who intends to adopt her. VS. In small operating theatre the woman gives some of her blood to the child from Auschwitz she is going to adopt. VS. of the adopted girl in 1958 when she is 17 years old (Anya Koval) and her adopted parents in their home and they admire her new dress. On her arm is a slight scar where the Auschwitz number was tattooed. VS. Montage of film showing the young girl and her step-mother playing in orchard amongst blossoms and cuts to film of her twelve years later playing in woods also with her stepmother. VS. Showing her at 17 years old with her friends. GV. Street scene in Kiev. VS. Present day film of her at 24 years old working at the Science Academy. VS. At a small party at the Academy a small group of musicians plays the girl now 24 dances with her friends. VS. She still is seen strolling through Kiev with her step-parents.
