    Full title reads: "Around Scotland".

    The Royal Tour of the Scottish Lowlands.
    Intertitle reads: "Kelso".

    The Mayor of Kelso accompanies King George VI, Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother), Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret Rose, walking through flag waving children. Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten (later Prince Philip) is also there.

    Intertitle reads: "Jedburgh".

    MS the Queen, King, Margaret Rose and Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh walking round the abbey. MS they receive the Mayor and councillors on the platform. People wave as the Royals pass.

    Intertitle reads: "Galashiels".

    LS General view of the town. CU the King, followed by the Queen, signs the visitors' book. CU the King and Queen chatting to crowds. MS the Royal party walking among cheering crowds.

    LS Soldiers of the Black Watch regiment standing to attention on the parade ground. CU Royal Standard flying. MS the Queen accepts the scroll that permits the Black Watch to march through the city with fixed bayonets from Lord Provost Ure Primrose. MS the Queen addressing the men. (nat sound). Field Marshall Viscount Archibald Wavell, Colonel of the Regiment following the Queen down the platform steps. LS the march past through a large crowd. CU the Queen and Wavell watching the march past.
