    Full title reads: "Thousands attend deeply impressive Service in Newcastle".

    Armistice Day, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Tyne and Wear.

    L/S of large World War One memorial with a statue of a horse on top of it. Large crowds surround it, they are observing a minutes silence. Various L/Ss of dignitaries, army officers and a marching band in front of memorial, there is a large sign on the ground nearby which appears to reads - 'Remembrance'. The dignitaries lay wreaths at base of memorial.

    Note: regional variations of story for Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham and Dublin all exists in G 1346. Also for Cenotaph memorial service - see ARMISTICE DAY 1926 also in G 1346.
