    Intertitle: "ARMISTICE DAY 1920. Pathe Gazette Memorial Number. Another reminder - the cost! So poignantly brought home to us all as King and people unite in paying tribute to an Unknown British Warrior".

    C/U of a wooden cross marking the grave of a "British Soldier", in the back ground more crosses can be seen.

    M/S of soldiers firing cannons in a park. M/S of an army band leading a procession, the coffin of the 'unknown soldier' is carried by a horse and cart down a French street. Soldiers carrying wreaths follow the procession, as well as Officer representatives from the Allies Forces. M/S of the wreaths on the deck of the H.M.S. Verdoun, sailors with their heads bowed guard the coffin. M/S of French and English high ranking officers saluting the coffin from the dockside. M/S of the coffin on the deck as the ship sets sail. Various shots of the sea and lower decks, taken from the higher decks of the ship.

    M/S of a military procession going under an arch (Marble? Admiralty?), in the foreground a soldier stands with his head bowed.

    Intertitle: "ARMISTICE DAY 1920. Pathe Gazette Memorial Number. AT THE CENOTAPH. A Memorable scene almost painful in its intensity of feeling".

    High angled shots of officers and dignitaries laying wreaths of poppies at the base of the Cenotaph. L/S of a military parade. M/S of King George V, Prince Albert (Duke of York) , Prince Edward (Prince of Wales), Prince George (Duke of Kent) and Prince Henry (Duke of Gloucester), all dressed in military uniforms with black arm bands. M/S of the soldiers carrying the coffin. L/S, looking over the heads of the crowd, of the coffin being carried into Westminster Abbey. Panning shot of a vast crowd surrounding the Cenotaph, all at once all the men put their hats back on, marking the end of a two minute silence.

    Intertitle: "The FLOWERS of REMEMBRANCE. Hour after hour an unceasing pilgrimage of bereaved Mothers, wives, daughters, sweetharts [sic] lay floral offerings on the Cenotaph".

    L/S of a large queue, mostly of women holding flowers, stretching into Trafalgar Square. M/S of an enormous heap of flowers, almost covering the Cenotaph, more bouquets are being added. M/S of a little girl adding a wreath. Various shots of wreaths being added. More shots of the procession and the King laying a wreath on the coffin. Good L/S of the unveiling of the Cenotaph.
