Canary is board in his cage. He sees a nice looking `girl' walking outside his widow and tries to escape. He succeeds. We see the little canary flying freely through air, playing with a scary looking kite and flying again until he gets dizzy and falls down a chimney. Comes out grey to join a choir of sparrows. They kick him out for spoiling their disability to sing and he ends up in a garden where he meets a girl again. He goes after her just to be kicked by her, much bigger, partner. Second part contains the following: Little canary's adventure continues on a farm where he eats sunflower seeds, experiences rain and wind, gets scared by much bigger birds, and chased by a cat at night. He sees a little canary girl in a cage and falls in love. And they live together ever after in her little cage.
