  • "MS pilot emerging from building" - the pilot seen here is Clarence Chamberlin.

    "MS of the plane" - it's a Wright_Bellanca WB-2, Reg. No. NX237.

We are seeing Chamberlin following his record-breaking non-stop Transatlantic flight from New York to Eisleben, about 100 miles away from Berlin.

Narrowing down the clip's current date range, the flight took place between 4 and 6 June 1927. Chamberlin was then given a reception in Berlin on June 7, which is presumable when this footage was shot..

"CU man" - this is Charles Levine, the aircraft's owner and also Chamberlin's navigator for the flight.

"MS Heinkel airport" - actually it's Tempelhof Airport, Berlin.

"MS as the airman is carried on shoulders" - Charles Levine is also carried aloft.

It's important to note that this is a story about two men, not just one, so perhaps a change of title to "American Airmen" might be considered.
