    Edinburgh, Scotland.

    Various shots of a large parade of servicemen and women representing the British Commonwealth of Nations marching along Princes Street to open Allies' Week. The Lord Provost, William Darling takes the salute.

    Several divisions of Allied troops are seen, including British ATS servicewomen and some men wearing cloaks over their uniforms who could be Polish Mountain Troops. Soldiers towards the rear carry the flags of all the Allied nations.
