Full title reads: "Gilliespie Road. Alec James to play in the Final? Football fans eagerly await decision that their idol - Arsenal's dazzling football star - will be fit for the fray."

Intertitle reads: "Introducing Joe Hulme - Cliff Bastin - the 'irrepressible' Alec himself .... and Tom Whittaker - 'Wizard' of the trainers!"

Alec James lying on physiotherapist's treatment bench. He is having his knee massaged by the trainer. His colleagues are asking is James will be fit to play in the final, Tom Whittaker says that he shouldn't have any bother.

Slightly wider shot - The trainer asks Joe Hulme to turn off a device near to him. It looks as if Alec James is having his knee treated by some form of electrical device. Joe Hulme suggests that Alec James is 'swinging the lead a bit' - slang for pretending to be more injured than he really is.

Two shot of Alec James and Cliff Bastin. Alec - listening to comments about his heart says 'My heart's all right, it's a new body and a new pair of legs I need." He is still having his knee massaged.

(Natural sound track only - No commentary)

NB. This is a really nice film interview with a group of Arsenal footballers and their trainer. It was filmed into the build up to the FA Cup final. Arsenal lost . One of the players makes a slightly racist joke about sending Alec to Africa - where the knee grows.
