    Filmed at Cranwell Aerodrome, Lincolnshire. Introductory intertitle reads: "Not many years ago we used to stress the importance of "sea sense" to this Island. Today, the sea has a rival - Air - and every year it grows, especially among the younger generation."

C/U of three young boys sitting in a railway carriage. They look out of the window. M/S of large number of schoolboys arriving at "Once on the 'drome the RAF Instructors are kept busy explaining all about the fighting aircraft." M/S of large group of schoolboys standing by an aircraft as an RAF man tells them about it. Dissolve to another shot of the boys looking at the plane. High angle shot of the two planes on the airfield. RAF personnel stand lined up on the runway. M/S of the boys looking closely at the aircraft.

    "children standing beside a railway locomotive" - it's A3 locomotive No. 2552, named "Sansovino".
