  • The footage seen here is from the "King's Cup" air race that took place on 13 and 14 July 1923.

    The aircraft seen at 00:08 is a Boulton and Paul P.9, Reg. No. G-EAWS. The pilot in the craft is Squadon Leader Franks L Robinson, (Franks isn't a typo by the way).

    The aircraft seen at 00:27 is a Supermarine Sea Eagle, Reg. No. G-EBFK. The pilot seen in the craft is Captain H C Biard.

    The aircraft at 02:08 is a Vickers Vulcan, Reg. No. G-EBFC.

    The lady in the all-leather flying kit at 01:03 is Princess Anne of Lowenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg, (nee Lady Anne Savile).

    The official holding the flag at 01:47 is well-known timekeeper of the era George Reynolds.
